10 things I learned from... Gilmore Girls.

1. Growing up in a single parent family isn't all that bad. 

2. There is never such thing as too much junk food. 

3. Jump. 

4. Your mum and dad getting married isn't always the best thing. 

5. Always say yes to a proposal. 

6. Don't let your grandparents write a song about you. 

7. Money matters. 

8. Setting up your own business isn't as easy as it seems. 

9. Drink lots of coffee... or cola. 

10. Life's short, talk fast.

Summer Favourites.

As the summer as well as August comes to an ending I thought that I would tell you all what I have loved this summer instead of doing the normal end of the month favourites. So before I start rambling on forever, let's get straight into it!

Nails: 
Max Factor Glossfinity (Cute Coral)
Maybelline New York Forever Strong Gel Nail Colour ( Uptown Blue 20) - my current shade! 

Both of these polishes have been my go-to's over the summer. They have a great formula which means that they last longer on my nails compared to polishes with different formulas. In my personal opinion I believe that they are just as good as more expensive brands such as 'essie' or 'model's own'.

Shoes: 
White Gizeh toe-post Birkenstocks

I was just like anybody else slightly against the birkenstock trend and wondered would they ever suit me. However once I took that leap of faith and bought myself a pair, I couldn't be more happier with them. They are super comfy and really support my feet in a way that many other shoes can't.

Backpack: 
White Palm Tree Print Backpack

This is another summer trend that I wasn't sure about in the beginning but once again I caved!! Once again it certainly wasn't a mistake. It can be a bit of an inconvenice whilst in the shops as it can bump into things and it can be a hassle to take off and open. What I really love about it is that there is so much space in it and as it doesn't only go on one shoulder it means that it really helps with balance etc. Also the colours on it are real cute.

For anybody who is a regular reader of this blog you wouldn't be surprised by the first two so I don't need to go on because well we would be here all day! However Shonda Rhimes has done it again for me. I am only about half way through the second season but I am already hooked. #teamolitz

That really is the end of my favourites. I haven't been using many new products because I have just been busy enjoying what will be my last summer at home for a while.

Things that I am obsessed with...

Hello guys!

So for today's post I am gonna let you know what I am obsessed with right about now.

Gilmore Girls
I don't really know where to start, this show really speaks my whole life through a TV show.. literally. I probably shouldn't say too much more as I actually did a post on it last month and am planning to do a full review for you all in the near future :) So watch this space!

Twizzlers
These sweets are the bomb.com, especially the cherry flavour. They can be quite hard to find in the UK but actually my local ASDA has started to sell them recently which is both a good thing and a bad thing. ANd i may or may not have bought a few whilst I was in America. *eating some whilst typing*

Grey's Anatomy 
This is another show that I have literally fallen in love with no word of a lie, just with the Gilmore Girls I did a post last month that you can check out to really understand how and what I love about this show.

Cath Kidston 
When it comes to brands I really love to support british grown and made and Cath Kidston is no acception. There is not many types of products that I haven't own/owned in the past. Now what I would say is that if you are not into bright colours you may struggle with some of the products but if you are liek me and love the vintage brights then check it out

Undiscovered Artists 
I am not a huge lover of the chart music. Never have been, probably never will be. I choose my bands and I stick to them. What I do like however is the Undisocovered artists, when I was at McBusted a few weeks ago one of their support acts was the Hollywood Ending. Check them out, they are sooo good!

Probably of my closest friends she is soooo like Lane it's scary.

I would say mostly Lorelai/Rory but sometimes Mrs Kim/Lane

6. Have you ever tried or made food after seeing it on Gilmore Girls? 
Well it would explain my love for Twizzlers and Milk Duds...

Maybe a bit of both but more of a Lane

8. What's the one Stars Hollow town event that you want to attend/recreate in your own town? 
All of them.

9. What is the number one thing that's happening in pop culture right now that you wish the Gilmore Girls were still around to talk about/make fun of?

I don't know really.. my friends do get a little annoyed at my many GG pins on pinterest. (it currently is at 175)

Grey's Anatomy.. enough of the actors have been guest stars!

12. What do you think Lorelai is doing right now? 
Being fabulous and running the world.

13. What character do you wish was in the show more than they were? 
Rory's room mates in her first year at Yale.

Lorelai and Kirk. We all wanted to see that happen.

Logan.

It has affected me in so many ways, I am actually so grateful for the show being there.
